Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker with proven experience in supporting individuals with Cerebral Palsy. Your role will involve working closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver tailored support plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and physical exercises.
  • Administer medications and manage health needs as required.
  • Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation and household tasks.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community events.
  • Implement individualized care plans and monitor progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with cerebral palsy.
  • Understanding of the specific needs and challenges associated with cerebral palsy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
