Role Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to adults and children with autism, tailoring activities and interventions to meet their specific needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Implement and follow individualized care plans, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children.
  • Engage in therapeutic and recreational activities that encourage social interaction and skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and document the progress and behavior of clients, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must be female to meet the specific needs of our clients.
  • Previous experience working with both adults and children, especially those with autism.
  • Relevant qualifications in Disability Support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid NDISWC, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and National Police Check.
