About the Company
I am representing one of Australia's most successful IPP's in their search for a Senior Energy Markets Analyst. They have an impressive portfolio of operational projects and are now looking to build upon their success.

About the Role


My client is seeking a Head of PPAs & Energy Markets who can provide input, support and leadership in executing the PPA and Energy Markets mandate.

You will be responsible for analysing and monitoring energy market data, implementing trading and risk capabilities, appraising new growth opportunities, as well as trying to improve the overall business performance through energy markets strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Appraising commercial opportunities and information gathering
  • Locating and analysing energy industry data to develop concise plans
  • Create high quality commercial proposals that empathise with the consumer's needs
  • Electricity market modelling
  • Commercial and financial modelling
  • Research, data analysis and data management
  • Convey energy market insights

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, science or engineering
  • Energy related commercial analysis experience
  • Excellent research, written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to communicate project status, timeline, risk assessment, budget needs and performance
  • Familiarity with the process of electricity market modelling
  • Experience with contract and regulatory structures relating to trading renewable energy
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, focusing on improving value for consumers
