It's a great moment for us as we are growing naturally thanks to the hard work of our exceptional team. Consequently, we are seeking to expand our Telecommunications Engineering team focused on the mining sector in our Perth office.
About the role
This role plays a vital part in our organization and engineering team, so we are in need of a RAN specialist with substantial experience in planning and optimizing RF coverage for private LTE networks within the mining/resource industry.
This is a key role that may involve working on various projects and collaborating with several important clients.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary engineering teams to complete complex communications projects
- Preparing and reviewing technical design documentation
- Developing mid-term planning solutions
- Designing, creating, and implementing technical solutions to enhance the LTE private network
- Preparing acceptance testing plans, procedures, and test scripts
- Troubleshooting and resolving service incidents, including hardware and software faults
- Applying Root Cause Analysis for incidents and network issues
- Engaging with key stakeholders to propose new service solutions
- Leading FAT, SAT, and commissioning of implemented solutions
Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in mission critical communication and operational technologies, particularly in the mining/oil and gas sector
- Extensive expertise in the design, configuration, commissioning, testing, integration, and validation of Transmission/microwave/voice mobile radio in the mining/oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in utilizing Root Cause Analysis tactics to troubleshoot network issues
- Ability to document and report design solutions, as well as review documentation and design outputs
- Team player with strong collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Effective communication skills with excellent interpersonal and technical communication abilities
Qualifications and certifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
