We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our team. You will undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of Indigenous Identified Students across the school.
We are looking for a passionate educator to support Indigenous Student learning.

Typical duties include:

  • General classroom support (particularly in the areas of Mathematics and English), and
  • Supporting staff and students to promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
Skills & experience you will bring to the role:

  • An understanding of the local indigenous history and culture,
  • Previous experience as a School Officer and/or hold a minimum a Cert 3 in Educational Support,
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills, and
  • An understanding of the work in primary classrooms.
Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- _Communicates with influence_ - demonstrated sound personal qualities of tact, reliability and an ability to work with others both individually and as a member of a team. Sound technological skills will be an advantage.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required:7.6 hours per day, 22.8 hours per week. Preferred days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Salary level, range or hourly rate:School Officer Level 2 - $29.35 per hour
