What we're looking for:


An Incident Support Team (IST) Coordinator to be part of the team that effectively assess, review, report and manage all reportable incidents and complaints as per Regulatory requirements, as well as contributing to other compliance and safety matters such as communicating and overseeing field safety initiatives.


The role:

You will be responsible for coordinating incident response efforts, ensuring the safety and well-being of children under care, and implementing efficient protocols to address emergent situations promptly, including:

  • Report incidents and injuries to relevant state based regulatory authorities in a timely and accurate manner via National Quality Agenda IT System (NQAITS).
  • Understand reporting requirements to determine and provide guidance on which incidents to report on the National Quality Agenda IT System.
  • Develop relationships with External stakeholders, including Regulatory departments.
  • Follow up with Centres to ensure any corrective actions regarding serious incident or complaints are completed.
  • Liaise with Centres when serious incidents occur and collate required information and evidence.
  • Work with our Policy and Process team to ensure all incident support processes reflect current regulations and legislation.
  • Attend relevant committees and working groups to ensure all WHS initiatives are actioned
  • Communicate incident trends, hazard, and risk management across the network via regular national Zoom meetings, and other internal communication platforms

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within Early Childhood in a centre, support or regulatory role
  • Diploma or tertiary qualifications in early childhood education and care or equivalent is desirable
  • Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain
  • Knowledge of the Early Learning regulations and relevant safety regulations and legislation
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
