Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of energy policy trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and advocate for energy policy strategies that contribute to the organisation's goals and positively influence industry standards.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure policy alignment with operational, commercial, and environmental objectives.
  • Represent the organisation in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory discussions, articulating the company's stance on key policy matters.
  • Prepare comprehensive policy documents, position papers, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and relevant stakeholders to influence policy decisions that support the energy sector's growth and sustainability.
  • Monitor and anticipate changes in policy frameworks, anticipating their impact on operations and strategising accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Energy Policy, Public Policy, Economics).
  • Proven experience in energy policy development and advocacy within the Australia energy sector.
  • Indepth knowledge of energy market regulations, policy frameworks, and industry trends.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex policy issues and develop wellreasoned recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey policy positions effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and engaging with external stakeholders.
