Description
This work involves walking the streets of Hobart, Tasmania for ~6 weeks. More work will come but will be optional as travel will be required.
The audit will cover documenting and photographing ~35 accessibility features in the built environment. They include kerb ramps, bus stops, park benches, footpaths, lighting, and more.
Training will take approximately 2-3 days and cover how to document each feature. We are based in Hamilton, so it will be online training. Android device preferred.
As we are a New Zealand business working for Australian councils, you would be hired as a contractor rather than an employee.
Important skills include:
Following instructions/auditing standards precisely
Maintaining quality of data collection without supervision
Caring about equitable community access for disabled people
Being self-motivated
Ability to follow a map and stay organised
Considering the work is outside in the elements, walking 6-8km/day while remaining focused, we pay $35/hour for this position with no experience required.
This is a very important job that will provide vital data so disabled people can plan a safe journey into their community.
