The More Trains, More Services program will simplify and modernise the rail network creating high capacity, turn up and go services for many customers.

It means customers can expect more frequent train services, with less wait times, less crowding on a simpler and more reliable network.

John Holland is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join the MTMS team based in Mascot.

Responsibilties fo the role:

  • Plan and execute survey work that aligns with the construction program
  • Work closely with the different construction teams to ensure that works are being delivered on time.
  • Produce survey setout and asbuilt models, QA plans and reports on all works completed.
  • Carry out all calculations required for works to be set out on site.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Formal Qualification in surveying
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree
  • 35 years previous experience working on rail or infrastructure projects
  • Proficient 12d skills
  • Proficient knowledge in the use of Leica total station and GPS
  • Good drafting and 3D modelling skills in AutoCad/Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of 3D laser scanning and working with AutoDesk Recap software (preferred but not essential)
  • Good time management
  • Previous rail infrastructure experience highly regarded
