The Role:


We have multiple Service Support Officer roles within our Waterways & Catchment Operations group based from our 990 La Trobe Street Head office and working from home.

Reporting to the Area Lead Service Governance, Coordination & Enablement, this role will support centralised program coordination and governance to enable the effective and efficient delivery of Melbourne Water's waterway and catchment obligations, programs and services.


This will be achieved through:

  • Delivering service and program governance, coordination and administration support including financial (payments, daytoday grant contract management), maintenance of accurate data in various databases & systems (Maximo, GIS, CRM) and customer service activities to support the incentives, capital, maintenance and other service delivery mechanisms.
  • Manage 'Support Officer' workflows for the Liveable Communities, Liveable Waterways program to support effective delivery of Melbourne Water's incentives program.
  • Support program and service reporting, ensuring program tracking and progress data is captured in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Being part of the 'engine room' of improving Waterways and Catchment Services business processes and systems using real time data and insights, and collaboration across groups to design, implement and evaluate these initiatives.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated organisational skills, administration, program coordination or project management experience with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to achieve objectives and meet critical timelines.
  • Ability to learn and use new data management systems quickly, with experience in the use of financial support software (e.g. TechnologyOne), grant management platforms, GIS (ESRI systems) viewed favourably.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Highlevel Microsoft Office skills
  • Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Have a curious mindset and a passion for the natural environment
