The role you could play

Key responsibilities

  • Clients accessing the service are provided with a welcoming and responsive initial contact and urgent and immediate needs are addressed
  • Assist and or facilitate external activities with the support of Team Leader
  • Explore and assist in the cocreation of opportunities for additional activities for client engagement
  • Information is provided to assist in assessing and addressing client issues, needs and circumstances
  • Effective relationships are established with clients that encourage selfdetermination and participation and support them to improve their situation
  • As directed, support is provided to clients to implement case plans in accordance with the TSA model of care and practice
  • Clients are actively encouraged to engage in the implementation of case plans
  • Clients are assisted to access support services
  • Activities are monitored and clearly communicated to relevant staff for handover
  • Accurate, up to date client records and data is maintained for all clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures
  • Risks to clients, staff and TSA are identified and bought to the attention of relevant supervisor as soon as possible
  • Advocate for the clients where necessary and have input into policy and procedures which concern lived experience workers
This is a permanent part time (22.8 hours) position, located in Surry Hills, NSW. This position will work across 3 days. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level - Certificate IV qualification in (Community Services, Mental Health or similar) or related field with relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills

  • A national police record check
  • An international police record check will be required, where applicable
  • A Working with Children/Vulnerable people check
  • First aid certificate (Desirable)
  • Food handling certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Driver's Licence desirable
