Security Partner Technical Specialist - Australia This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in the Microsoft office 2-3 times per week.

Overview We seek a passionate, experienced technical specialist to help our partners and customers solve complex security challenges and modernize their security architecture and posture.

As a Security Technical Specialist, you will work with cutting-edge security technologies such as Microsoft Defender for Business, M365 Business Premium, Microsoft 365 E3, Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Network Security.

The primary goal of this role is to improve the technical competency of partners by selling with their technical teams and: Drive cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions with security value propositions.

Map Microsoft solutions to customer security challenges and priorities.
Demonstrate and prove Microsoft solutions and win the competition.
Win the technical decision enabling partners to achieve/exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Day-to-day, you will do 1:many technical enablement sessions to empower our partners to be self-sufficient in customer deals.

Provide technical expertise in presentations, demos, proof of concepts, competitive positioning, and workshops, staying sharp on technical, industry, and competitive knowledge.

Build technical confidence and competency in partners through a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities:
Land an end-to-end value prop for Security (i.e.
Zero Trust), which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings.

Empower customers in their Microsoft Security adoption journey, helping them to define a secure strategy, architecture, and implementation of necessary security controls aligned with Microsoft Azure and M365 E5 Security solutions, including Identity and Access Management, Threat Protection, Cloud Security, and Information Protection.

Primary technical point of contact for technical division in partners during the sales process, owing and driving technical win for security opportunities.

Deep technical understanding of cloud security architectures, solutions/technologies, including Microsoft Defender for Business, M365 Business Premium, Microsoft E3, Microsoft E5, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Network Security and expertise in extended detection and response (MXDR), zero trust and cloud security solutions and architectures.

Demonstrate and oversee proof of concepts, present and apply architecture patterns, prove capabilities and integration into customer environment, and drive cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions for security.

Leverage insights and coaches teams to align new or changing technology to customer security needs.
Remediate blockers; lead and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Security and adjacent technologies.

Engage with and reach out to partners proactively and independently; build credibility with partners as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Security; search for and use Microsoft Security customer references; and facilitate handoff to customer success for post-sales deployment.

Develop a differentiated competitive strategy for Microsoft Security for partners and customers.

Lead 1:

many partner technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions, explain, demonstrate, and architect the solution to help solve customer security challenges and priorities.

Help identify and remove business, technical, architecture, and competitive blockers for your respective solutions.
Leverage insights and coach partner teams to align new or changing technology to customer security needs.
Collaborate with Partner Technology Strategist (PTS) and Microsoft stakeholders in developing end-to-end solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.
Support partner and field sales and technical training and enablement.

Preferred Qualifications7+ years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or related experience Certification in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Azure Security One or more of Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, IAAP, etc.

is preferred Experience with Microsoft security solutions (M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel) or one or more related technologies, such as Crowd Strike, Proofpoint, Splunk, is required.

Experience in security and expertise around related technologies and concepts such as Zero Trust, threat management, Security Operations Center monitoring, Extended Detection and response, Access Control, Cloud Security Architecture, and Data Security.


Cloud Computing:

Infrastructure as a Service (Iaa S), Platform as a Service (Paa S), and Software as a service and understanding of one or more cloud security standards and frameworks such as CIS, NIST, CSA, etc., Experience and passion for learning (technical and professional skills); implementing practices from others; trying, failing, and learning from successes and failures; sharing techniques and knowledge for others' benefit.
