Kris from Decipher Bureau here, looking for a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Specialist to elevate CTI capabilities and strengthen an in-house expertise.

Role Purpose:

The Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst plays a pivotal role in bolstering this cyber resilience through threat preparedness, intelligence monitoring, and incident response. This governance-focused position involves developing and maintaining robust threat intelligence frameworks, reports, and systems to preempt and counter cyber threats. Ideal for a seasoned CTI professional seeking a more strategic role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Framework Development: Create and refine systems for gathering, analyzing, and reporting threat data from both internal and external sources.
  • Threat Repositories: Maintain central threat repositories and generate comprehensive intelligence reports at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
  • Incident Response: Participate in Group-level or significant incident response activities, which may require availability outside standard hours.
  • Policy Support: Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Threat Intelligence Monitoring: Disseminate knowledge to help various divisions defend against threats, maintain threat profiles, and deliver actionable intelligence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Group Cyber Security, divisions, law enforcement, and industry partners.
  • Reporting: Develop intelligence-led reports, advisories, and blog posts for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Toolchain Knowledge: Provide expertise on CTI practices, frameworks, and toolchains.

Key Experience and Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Cyber Security. Additional certifications in security technologies, digital forensics, or cyber law are highly regarded.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a threat intelligence analyst role. Proficiency with threat feeds, IoCs, Elasticsearch, AWS, and Azure is desirable.
  • Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications in intelligence or cybersecurity.
  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills, threat profiling, knowledge of threat actor groups, and familiarity with NIST frameworks and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of STIX/TAXI, scripting (Python), cybersecurity government policy, and cryptography is a plus.
  • Tools Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Slack, JIRA, Confluence, and Monday.
