We are looking for a Support Service Employee for
cleaning, laundry and kitchen duties to join our Aged Care Facility in Tweed Heads.

This role will play a pivotal role in delivering essential services at the highest quality ensuring our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full".


We need our successful applicant to do both roles.

As a Support Service Employee your duties will include:

  • Assist with full range of domestic duties
  • Clean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and airconditioning switches
  • Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors
  • Prepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals
  • Make beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessary
  • Assist in mealtimes and social activities
  • Wet dust all picture frames and wall ornaments
  • Wet wipe and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and airconditioning switches
  • Wipe over all lights in front foyer, lounge, activities room, and at the entrance.
  • Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchen
  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential we can train the right person
  • Genuine compassion, commitment and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Empathy towards the elderly and respectful of their needs
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts morning & afternoon Mon-Sun
  • Able to provide evidence of COVID19 and influenza vaccinations
