Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your days will be filled with providing exceptional customer service while being the primary point of contact for existing clients.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Actively build relationships with assigned customers to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Liaise with third party transport providers and internal departments regarding coordination of freight requirements.
  • Investigate, follow up and close nonconformance reports (NCR) in accordance with company procedure and timelines.
  • Rectify customer issues and complaints in accordance with company procedures and in liaison with the relevant Contract Manager, including providing feedback to relevant internal departments.
  • Prepare quotations as per customer's request and follow company procedure to ensure correct and timely invoicing.
  • Assist in the location and preparation of freight in accordance with customer requirements to ensure delivery in a timely manner.
  • Check daily forward, return, and quarantine areas for discrepant freight and liaise with customer and vendor to resolve all issues.
  • Liaise with yard team to ensure all 'must travel' freight is loaded.
  • Follow contract specific safety and quality procedures.
  • Understand all relevant customer KPI's and assist in the consistent delivery of the set targets.
  • Assist Contract Manager with contract requirements as required and identify opportunities for improvement.

Who we are looking for

  • 2+ years in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry with exposure to mining (Desired)
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and address potential service issues.
  • Willingness to learn and progress.
