How will I contribute?

Joining the Technology, Centralised IT Co-ordination team within the Group Business Unit - Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a complex technology solution that produces Basel 3 regulatory reports for APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority). Your responsibilities will also involve supporting other solutions and applications within the team.

Basel 3 represents a significant and intricate multi-year risk program that has implemented a new framework for calculating regulatory capital requirements across various prudential standards. The technology solution integrates multiple upstream systems, data flows, and technology platforms.

As a Senior Analyst, you will be pivotal in the IT coordination team, focusing on delivering optimal outcomes to internal stakeholders by overseeing IT job operations, timely data delivery, and managing end-to-end coordination during complex IT issues with specific applications.

This role necessitates physical presence in Sydney for two days weekly.

On a daily basis, you will collaborate across teams and functions, engaging with BAU (Business as Usual) IT and business support teams. The key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting batch process activities
  • Analyzing and resolving cross-system IT issues
  • Leading meetings with IT Application teams for significant production failures affecting multiple systems
  • Proactively engaging with the Business Application Owner team regarding potential issues
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards covering batch running and health checks
  • Communicating critical issues to business and IT teams
  • Documenting and coordinating incident workarounds
  • Coordinating solutions for complex production failures that impact multiple systems with IT Application teams
  • Ensuring the project team updates data flow and system diagrams post-implementation changes
  • Identifying and addressing potential control gaps or weaknesses to the Business Application Owner
  • Providing stakeholders with technical updates

What are we looking for?

To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
  • Experience in regulatory reporting solutions within financial services and banking
  • Strong technical background
  • IT service management experience
  • Prior involvement in supporting complex IT solutions across multiple teams
  • Technical problem-solving skills and coordination among diverse teams
  • Extensive service management experience (Incidents, Problems, Change, Configuration, and documentation)
  • Proven track record as a Technical Business Analyst
  • Proficiency in Control-M, Service Now, Confluence, JIRA
  • Familiarity with SAS, SQL, Power BI, and Excel for data analysis
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
