Your new role
As the Data Capability Product Owner, this role will be responsible for leading the implementation, administration, and optimization of our data management platform. The role will involve working closely with stakeholders from various departments to understand their data integration, data quality, and data governance needs, and translating those requirements into effective solutions on the platform.
This position takes an active approach in engaging stakeholder groups to enhance data management platform capabilities. Furthermore, it fosters collaboration with other business units to advise them on necessary platform capabilities tailored to address their specific challenges. Moreover, the role includes overseeing the implementation and operationalization of various platform capabilities within the fund.
In this role, collaboration with stakeholders is pivotal to develop a priority roadmap for their area of responsibility, enhancing the funds capability to manage data and fostering a comprehensive understanding of a data-driven culture. This roadmap will align with and contribute to the Fund's 2023 business strategy, resulting in the substantial improvements in outcomes for members.
Some key responsibilities but not limited to;
- Implementation and Configuration: Lead the implementation and configuration of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to meet the organization's data integration, data quality, and data governance requirements.
- Data Integration: Design and implement data integration solutions using the tool to facilitate the seamless flow of data between disparate systems to perform reconciliation and DQ checks.
- Data Quality Management: Spearhead the implementation of data quality capabilities utilizing cutting-edge data management tools. This role involves leveraging Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to gain insights that facilitate data cleansing, standardization, and enrichment. Furthermore, it entails developing a robust suite of data quality capabilities to guarantee the availability of fit-for-purpose data tailored specifically for the fund's needs.
- Data Governance and Compliance: providing SME knowledge and guidance for defining data lineage and metadata management in order to provide the fund with a better understanding our the datasets
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Analyse system metrics, job statistics, and data throughput to identify bottlenecks and performance issues, and work closely with the different technical teams to implement enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability. Identifying TCO for platform and building cost forecasts
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the data management support and services. Coordinate with vendor representatives and third-party consultants to troubleshoot issues, obtain technical assistance, and stay informed about product updates and enhancements and use that to develop a roadmap.
- Play a pivotal role in cultivating and nurturing a strategic relationship with the vendor, positioning the fund as a key customer, advancing the company's long-term objectives, and ensuring alignment with vendor capabilities and fostering mutual growth and success
What you'll need
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing and administering data management tools at an enterprise scale
- Experience with Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
- Proficiency in designing and developing integration data flows.
- Experience with operationalising data quality assessment, cleansing, and enrichment.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experienced in working with complex enterprise data architecture that utilizes a myriad of data tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience/knowledge of data governance frameworks like DCAM will be valued
