Holmesglen Private Hospital is looking for Health Information Service Officer / Coding Assistant to join the clerical team. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, is able to work as a team as well as independently. Have great time management and organisational skills.

Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units.

- including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services

As a Health Information Services Officer / Coding Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Strong administration skills
  • Follow up with providers for any documentation that is insufficient or unclear
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding documentation
  • Track records for missing information
  • File and retrieve records

Essential Criteria:

  • Medical administration or medical reception experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
