About the role


This position will support the development, coordination and implementation of sustainable tree management services that promote the Inner West urban forest as a quality, intergenerational resource, and to deliver tree planting projects that contribute to the desired community outcomes as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.


Working as part of the Urban Forest and Ecology service unit and reporting to the Urban Forest and Ecology Manager, the Tree Planting Project Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of Council's tree planting programs.

These programs consist of both an operational planting program delivered by Council crews and capital tree planting programs delivered by contract.


You will be community focused and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the program from beginning to end.

Remuneration
$90, $102, Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

  • Qualifications in Arboriculture and/ or Landscape Design/ Architecture or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
  • High level project management skills, with a strong record of achievement in planning, coordinating, engaging, delivering and evaluating projects that provide value for money and achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding and experience in tree procurement, tree establishment and maintenance, overcoming conflicts with infrastructure, and operational WHS requirements.
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
