About the position:
The Communications Manager will have a crucial role in developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance the business reputation and impact of its programs, reaching a wider audience. You will be tasked with creating communication plans that resonate with a diverse stakeholder group and various programs, ensuring the messaging aligns with their mission and values, contributing to ambitious goals with a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in annual strategic planning for designated programs to meet business objectives.
- Develop, execute, and manage communication strategies and plans in line with the brand image to promote business programs across all communication channels, tailored to diverse stakeholders.
- Create and oversee content for different communication channels such as websites, social media, email marketing, and print materials.
- Collaborate with the PR and Engagement teams to ensure consistency with press releases, media relations, crisis communication, and business goals.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and make adjustments as needed.
- Cultivate strong relationships with the Program Team, offering them an exceptional 'internal customer' experience.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-efficient solutions.
- Eventually, build a team of communication professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
Skills and Requirements:
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in communication, public relations, or marketing, with at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven ability to craft compelling messages for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Skilled at building lasting relationships with senior and mid-level stakeholders in political and public service roles.
- Understanding of government operations and processes.
- Action- and outcome-driven, with strong operational and customer service skills.
- Team player with exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different environments.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work setting.
