  • AO4 equivalent rate - $55 + p/h + super
  • Based in Townsville, Queensland
  • Starting 1st of July up to 18 months with possibility for extension, pending business requirements.

About the role

The AO4 Program Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting our team by addressing the shortfall of specialised resources needed for community engagement and communication services across active and upcoming projects in Northern Districts. A key focus of this role will be on the Riverway Drive Stage 2 project, where you will build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and implement strategies to ensure successful engagement.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain robust relationships with external stakeholders, particularly those affected by the Riverway Drive Stage 2 project.
  • Web Development: Update and maintain project web pages, including the Riverway Drive Stage 2 project page. Provide analytic reports and updates as necessary.
  • Social Pinpoint: Develop and manage Social Pinpoint web pages to facilitate community engagement and gather feedback.
  • Communication Materials: Produce proactive communication materials such as media statements, flyers, construction updates, and newsletters.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve low-level stakeholder issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Correspondence Management: Manage a correspondence tracker to ensure timely responses to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Data Management: Source stakeholder contact details and lot number information, entering them into spreadsheets and consultation manager.
  • Other duties as required.

About You

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and community consultation is essential
  • Proficiency in web development and data management tools will be highly regarded.
  • Must be able to pass clear Australian police check.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
