Accountant Position at Newcastle Organization

Our client, a leading organization in Newcastle, is in need of a Chartered Accountant to join their Small to Medium Enterprises team as a Client Advisor. This role involves managing clients through various service offerings to ensure their financial success with dedication, innovation, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting initial reviews of financial statements
  • Preparing complex individual tax returns with business schedules
  • Handling EOM statements and reconciliations
  • Reviewing income tax returns, BAS, and FBT returns
  • Ensuring compliance with ATO and accounting standards
  • Developing engagement proposals for new clients
  • Managing a client list independently
  • Providing training to team members
  • Leading team meetings

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience
  • CA/CPA qualification or close to completion
  • Experience or interest in managing a client list
  • Understanding of Division 7A and compliance strategies
  • Ability to draft advice on financial, tax, and investment matters
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent communication
