My client is a well established Australian owned International Freight Forwarder with a dynamic office environment & a strong company culture.

They are currently seeking a new addition to their Import Operations Team.

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collation of Customs documents to assist Brokers
  • Liaising with customers and overseas offices to coordinate import documents
  • Coordinating import clearance formalities with our inhouse Customs Brokers
  • Ensuring the off shore team have correctly entered data into Cargowise
  • Coordinating AQIS inspections and formalities
  • Monitoring progress of customs and quarantine clearance via ICS and communicating the outcomes to clients.
  • Arranging cartage of customs released freight to destination and then dehire containers to empty container depots
  • Completing billing process
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
  • Minimum 1 2years' experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminology
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Advanced Customer Service skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environment
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent working knowledge of Cargowise and ICS computer systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
