In this role, you'll:
Join the Fire Compliance team as the Essential Services Compliance Manager to manage the Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) process across all of the Sydney Trains and NSW Trainlink railway stations and operational sites, including all the tenants at these sites.
This role manages the team to coordinate the collection of all the necessary fire equipment inspection and testing results together with all other fire engineering information, building designs and previous AFSS submissions. The team collates all the necessary information and provides this to the accredited practitioners for the AFSS assessment. Once the assessments have been performed, This Fire Compliance team track and manage the appropriate non-conformance rectifications, Fire engineering designs or other processes required in order to ensure that all sites have a compliant AFSS.
This role holds the responsibility to ensure certification and sign-off on all fire safety measures prior to creation of the final AFSS and to submit to council as required.
In addition, this role provides specialist technical advice in accordance with Australian Standards, Building Codes of Australia, Regulations and Legislation relating to Fire Safety Measure requirements and will see you act as the liaison between multiple stakeholders including, TAHE, Local Councils, Fire and Rescue, Tenants and other parties to ensure AFSS compliance obligations are met.

You bring relevant equivalent experience relating to the fire compliance industry. You have the corresponding engineering or trade qualifications and relevant design, construction, maintenance, installation or certification experience.
You have demonstrated knowledge of the design and installation requirements and standards of performance of various Australian Standards and Building Codes of Australia relating to fire systems.
Your exceptional communication skills will ensure that you effectively gather, interpret and communicate information with a wide variety of external stakeholders including local councils and maintenance service providers.
You will also have proven experience in managing a team of people to achieve sound and compliant operational outcomes.
