About the opportunity:


This role is responsible for ensuring that the Aged Care Reform workplan and associated projects are successfully implemented in line with Seniors Services strategic objectives.

The Reforms Project Lead will be required to manage several initiatives concurrently in collaboration with the IT Reforms Program Manager.


You will work within Uniting's Project Management methodology and communication standards, including preparation of status reporting, risk management, escalation of issues that cannot be resolved within the team, and, in general, making sure the project is delivered within scope, on time and in budget.


What you'll be doing in this role:

  • Work closely with the Executive Manager, Customer and Executive Manager Commercial to assess impact and translate Aged Care Reforms into business requirements and strategies.
  • Understand industry trends and advise on customer and commercial implications of Aged Care Reform.
  • Collaborate with the Seniors Services Leadership and Operational Teams and other Uniting directorates to leverage crossbusiness stream opportunities on the scoping, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Aged Care Reforms.
  • Take ownership of communicating project expectations with team members and other stakeholders in a timely and effective manner and ensure all stakeholders in your area of responsibility are kept up to date and remain involved in appropriate aspects and project decisions.

Who we're looking for:

You will have Tertiary/Bachelor qualification in a relevant business field or equivalent experience.

  • At least 5 years' project management experience
  • Ability to influence others in gaining support for ideas, proposals, projects, and solutions.
  • Conceptual and innovative problemsolving skills for managing conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated skills in the creation and maintenance of project schedules, project management plans, budgets and progress reports and delivery of projects in complex environments.
  • Experience in achieving process improvement in conjunction with systems implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing board papers and presenting to committees.

You have outstanding verbal and written skills, are an exceptional team player that will roll up their sleeves and pitch in with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
