Our client is currently seeking an APS4 Administration Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.


YPIRAC Hospital Interface Branch is responsible for servicing two cohorts of participants; those living in or at risk of entering aged care under 65 years of age, and those in hospital who are medically ready for discharge but have barriers to doing so.

The branch has a specialised pathway for these participants which align to Ministerial priorities with the view to expediting quality outcomes.


YPIRAC team works to prevent younger people who are eligible for the NDIS from entering residential aged care, or to leave residential aged care if this is their goal.

The residential aged care system is designed to support the needs of older people. It is not designed for younger people. The Agency supports younger participants to have more choice and control over where and how they want to live.


The Hospital Interface team helps participants discharge from hospitals, the team has specialised hospital discharge planners and health liaison officers who prioritise participants' plans in hospitals to help them discharge in a safe and timely way.

This helps participants avoid staying in hospitals when they are medically ready for discharge.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Researching and responding to general enquiries and analysing documents and data.
  • Coordinating and preparing meeting minutes and papers.
  • Supporting the drafting of written communications and managing documents and databases.
  • Organising travel and finance reconciliation.
  • Participating in project management work as directed, supporting the delivery of work priorities.
  • Previous case management experience in the housing industry would be favourable.
  • Applies judgement, intelligence and common sense.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Applies and builds appropriate knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Adapts to, supports and manages change.
  • Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
This role is at the APS4 level equivalent offering $43.82 per hour + 11% super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
