Our Government client is seeking to engage an Investigation Officer on a contract for 4 months.

Position Overview

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess and investigate notifications and complaints made to CECA pursuant to the National Law and the CYP Act.
  • Conduct investigations, interview relevant parties, draft witness statements and correspondence relevant to investigations.
  • Document evidence in investigations of notifications and complaints in accordance with record management requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive and sound reports and recommendations for Triage and Case management committee and corresponding compliance actions.
  • Demonstrate a professional, proactive, accurate, efficient and confidential customer focused services to wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven experience in conducting investigations, monitoring activities in a regulatory framework and analysing complex matters in an investigation framework.
  • Welldeveloped written skills including the development of written reports, administrative decisions, statutory actions and general correspondence.
  • Ability to manage a diverse, highvolume caseload and the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet agreed deadlines and organisational requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technology and computer skills and the ability to learn operating systems efficiently and effectively.

Behavioural Capabilities

  • Demonstrate well developed interpersonal communication and leadership skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate engagement with the departments' Respect, Equity and Diversity Framework in accordance with the Directorate's Work Health and Safety policies, procedures and roles and responsibilities.

Compliance Requirements / Qualifications

  • Highly desirable qualifications in investigations, a relevant discipline or equivalent experience required.
  • A current driver's licence.
