About this opportunity


We are looking for Coordinator, Operational Integration as part of the Next Generation Tram (NGT) Project on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract.

Reporting to the Manager, Operational Integration Next Generation Tram this role involves:

  • Working across functions in Yarra Trams to coordinate and monitor NGT Operational Integration activities to ensure that tasks are actioned so NGT trams are successfully introduced into revenue service.
  • Working closely with the NGT project team to ensure safe and effective introduction of NGTs onto the network to achieve the Yarra Trams business objectives.
  • Being accountable for assigned project activities to support the NGT State Project in accordance with the Yarra Trams Project Management Framework.
  • Reporting on progress of Operational Integration and Readiness (OIR) activities
  • Coordinating actions arising from NGT Readiness streams related to Training & Resourcing, Network Readiness, Maidstone Depot Readiness and subsequent tram cascade.
  • Assisting with the preparation of templates, reports, letters and other documentation as required by the OIR team.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant document registers in Excel and SharePoint ensuring revisions, dates and other document references are correct and in alignment with the OIR program.
  • Facilitating and coordinating register of responses as required from across Yarra Trams functions to requests from third parties in relation to Operational Integration & Readiness

About you

Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar project coordination or administration role
  • Proven skills in planning, organising, and prioritising tasks and functions.
  • Experience liaising with third parties such as government agencies, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
  • Operational experience and understanding of the metropolitan tram network and tram operational requirements.
  • Experience in working with multiple file types and programs.
  • Experience in Maximo, Team Binder and SharePoint or preparedness to learn.
  • Experience in scheduling and program development
  • Proven record with compliance, traceability and auditability
  • Understanding of the principles of continuous improvement
  • Understanding and awareness of occupational health, safety and environmental issues in the workplace
