The Opportunity

Now, we have a thrilling chance for an OT Scada Project Engineer to join our Transformation & Technology squad in Brisbane, Perth, or Melbourne office on a permanent full-time basis.

As you report to the OT Engineering Team Lead - SCADA and OT Cyber, your role will be crucial in delivering engineering design, development, implementation, and support services for selected operational technologies used at APA which include ClearSCADA, OSI Pi, Synergee Pipeline.

The location for this role is flexible and hybrid, with considerations for various locations across Australia and/or home office. Job share options will also be entertained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the delivery of OT programs to drive business outcomes by offering technical design and consultancy services for operational technology services provided by OT Engineering.
  • Provide technical leadership to resolve conflicts in a manner that benefits the program and take charge of day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritization, and task coordination on projects.
  • Responsible for meeting project milestones, objectives, and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Offer expert guidance to OT project teams by mentoring, engaging in process improvement activities, contributing to standards, and creating automation tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Proactively cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, liaising with internal suppliers and customers to manage expectations and ensure agreed outcomes are met.

Your background

  • Hold a Tertiary qualification in Electrical & Electronics, Control System Engineering, Process, or Chemical Engineering with Seven (Plus) years' experience in designing, constructing, operating, or maintaining technology for various industries including power generation, renewables, gas transmission, utilities, and more.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and Project Management experience with at least one of the following technologies: GeoSCADA, OSIsoft Pi, Synergi Pipeline Simulator, and more.
  • Possess knowledge of relevant statutory requirements, Australian and international codes and standards, and have a good grasp of Environmental Health and Safety legislative requirements.
  • Customer-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills and proven experience in leading project teams to deliver operational technology projects.
  • Showcased experience in implementing technology changes to existing systems using project management tools, lifecycles, and methodologies.
