Senior Project Engineer (Microgrid Controls)In the Commercial & Industrial Markets (C&I), you'll be accountable for modelling, functional design, procurement, and assisting commissioning of microgrid control systems for large and complex hybrid energy projects.
You will work within a team of engineers to problem solve technical issues with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver the best outcome for the project.
What you'll be doing:
Undertaking system modelling to provide options analysis of the best techno-economic solution for a project.
Developing project technical specifications / functional description for microgrid system controls, communications and SCADA incorporating information from key stakeholders.
Managing microgrid control OEMs designs, implementation, integration with systems and testing plans on microgrid projects.
Ensuring safety design principals are utilized wherever engineering work may have a downstream impact on the safety of people, property or the environment.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and either Chartered or working towards Chartership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent in other countries), coupled with any additional industry related Accreditations.
Experience working in cross disciplinary delivery teams across major industrial and commercial renewables OEM or EPC.
Knowledge and experience with microgrid modelling and engineering software (HOMER Pro, Gridcog) and excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
