The Opportunity:

McArthur is proudly partnering with Australia's national statistical agency, to find a highly skilled Senior Learning and Development Officer to support the Graduate Development Program. This is a non-ongoing opportunity for an initial 12-month contract, is flexible for full-time or part time hours and offers a flexible working arrangement.

The successful applicant will provide a range of high-level administrative and coordination services supporting the Graduate Development Program and associated capability initiatives. The position may also provide support to a variety of related projects and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design of creative learning solutions (initiatives, programs and pathways) which enhance the capability of the workforce and drive clear learning and career pathways.
  • Coordinate and manage logistical components to support the delivery of learning and development solutions and programs.
  • Manage moderately complex projects, under direction, in the design and implementation of capability development, models and frameworks, business improvements and initiatives to achieve organisational objectives.
  • liaise with stakeholders from across the business on People Development matters and initiatives and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. This may include matters relating to the design, delivery, and evaluation of these initiatives.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders and supporting established
  • Review metrics from the People Development systems and create reports on these to communicate key insights.
  • Administer People Development systems, including the Learning Management System.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to apply sound judgement, and independent decision making.
  • Are solutions focused, and an expert in adapting to the needs of clients, staff or other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated Leadership or management experience in the learning & development environment.
