Adelaide Hills Council, Australia Luminous Care NDIS Pty Ltd Full time

As a Disability Support Worker working, you will be working with Luminous care, where you will provide person-centered and family-centered service providing In-Home supports in our SIL home. Utilize your knowledge and experience working with people with physical and intellectual disabilities to promote independent living skills, community participation and relationship building in a safe environment.

As a team player, you will be flexible and available to provide care and support, who take proactive approaches and self-motivated to demonstrate your person-centered approach.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individualized Support, Disability, Community Services.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate including CPR.
  • Satisfactory criminal history checks for current NDIS Worker Check and DHS Working with Children Check.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Effective verbal and written communication between participants, families, and staff.
  • Administering prescribed medication on a needs basis to individual clients and accurately recording the administration of the prescribed medication in accordance with the Health Care Policy.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.
  • COVID-19 vaccine certificate or hold a valid exemption.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $31.25 – $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week
