The opportunity

Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple APS6 Project Officer's to join the Service Design & Improvement Group in ensuring quality Scheme improvements are delivered to improve Participant outcomes & experiences.

APS6 Labour Hire hourly rate contract spanning an initial 12 months with the strong possibility of extension. Hourly rate on offer is $ Super, to be based out of our clients Richmond or Geelong location.

This contract will be within a hybrid environment, with 2 days working from home, and expected 37.5-hour weeks.

About the role

The position is a team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. It will be required to provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the positions assigned work area.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
  • Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
  • Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
  • Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
  • Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
  • Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

About you

  • Federal, State or Local Government experience.
  • Strong process improvement background, particularly within design improvements, current vs future state designs & evaluation
  • Ability to contribute to solutions with Participants needs at the forefront of design choices
  • Ability to conduct research and identify insights that's contribute to Agency understanding of information
  • Disability industry or lived experience highly advantageous
