The opportunity:


Based in Eastern Seaboard, Melbourne or Brisbane is preferred, the Safety, Transport and Compliance Manager, will be responsible for ensuring that Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance is at the forefront of logistics everyday activities.


The role requires a comprehensive understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), its impact and implications in relation to the carriage of goods for Visy Fibre Packaging.


The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Promoting and ensuring all CoR and OHS policies, procedures and required documentation is delivered understood and reviewed to ensure continuous improvement of both training and process delivery, having a really extensive networks of manufacturing warehouses and facilities.
  • Identifying continuous improvement of systems and processes relating to OHS & CoR through audits, customer safety site risk assessments, and monitoring the performance of carriers.
  • Engaging with all business unit managers to identify and develop improvements to support safety, training and CoR compliance deliverables.
  • Ensure up to date instruction & training of Safe Work Practices
  • Standardise Safe Transport, logistics and warehouse management processes and practices across VFP sites
  • Travelling to various manufacturing sites across ANZ
  • Manage contractor management systems such as LSS
  • Hazard identification and mitigation related to warehouse and transport activities
  • Present training via various training methods to upskill employees in the areas of CoR/OHS
  • Develop, nurture and manage effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders internal and external

What you will bring to the team:

  • Safety and Compliance experience within transport, logistics, FMCG and or manufacturing operations
  • Strong influencing background in the governance of change that encompasses safety, accountability and regulatory compliance
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in OHS or Logistics
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, to influence and drive change
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders (Internal and external)
