About the role
Are you passionate about improving patient, family and carer experience? An opportunity exists to join the Consumer Partnerships and Experience team as the Manager Patient Experience.
This role leads the development, implementation and ongoing review of best-practice and evidence-based patient experience strategies across Eastern Health, and provides leadership to ensure Eastern Health meets standard 2 (Partnering with Consumers) of the National Safety and Quality Health Standards.
About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:
A formal tertiary qualification in a health-related field, community development or social sciences
Experience and demonstrable achievements in developing organisational capacity to improve the patient experience of care, preferably in a health care setting
Demonstrated effective leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to understand change and the dynamics of a large, complex health care organisation
Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders across a range of levels within a large and complex organisation
Evidence of ability to manage competing priorities and deliver required output on time
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a range of stakeholders, work cooperatively in a team environment, together with demonstrated capacity to successfully manage/facilitate change
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure both independently and within a team
Demonstrated capacity to 'live' the Eastern Health Values
Current knowledge of National Quality and Safety in Health Care Standards
Sensitivity to the needs of culturally, linguistically and economically diverse communities, people with special needs and people and communities with differing points of view
A Victorian Drivers Licence
