About the role


As a member of The Benevolent Society's (TBS) Learning and Capability team, The Practice Capability Trainer delivers learning solutions to frontline staff to strengthen practice capabilities to ensure the services and support we provide to our clients and each other are person-centred, connected, effective, and safe.

Your role is to support the implementation of evidence-based practice and work in accordance with TBS' Professional Governance Framework.

Duties

  • Deliver onboarding and ongoing learning activities in multiple formats, including face to face, virtual training, workshops, individual coaching and support to staff across TBS.
  • Contribute to the design and development of learning activities through research, consultation, and practice insights.
  • Support the development and delivery of resources to support a program of training, coaching and staff development in key practice areas identified by the Learning and Capability team.
  • Support the Learning and Capability team to identify and assess current and future practicebased learning and development needs and priorities across practice in TBS in consultation with clients, leaders, frontline staff and other stakeholders.
  • Track and report on completion of training
  • Develop and maintain communication strategies to enable teams to understand their requirements for training and how and when they can access it.
  • Consult with Operations to gain insight and feedback to ensure continuous quality improvements of L&D courses.
  • Manage and support course enrolments and completions in the Learning Portal.

Note:

It is a requirement of this role that you are able to travel frequently across NSW, QLD and SA to deliver training to staff.


Skills and experience

We want you to be successful in your new role This means you'll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in training delivery; Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or relevant qualifications is advantageous.
  • Qualification in Human Services or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working within workplace training roles or delivering training to a wide variety of audiences, including senior staff.
  • Minimum 3 yrs experience in service delivery within child, youth & family, aged care or disability services.
  • Experience with blended modes of learning design.
  • Positive, agile nature to adapt to a constantly changing environment while delivering.
  • Knowledge of the Resilience Practice Framework is desirable but not essential.
