Position Title:
Power BI Analyst
Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Analyst for an initial 6 month contract in their Leederville office.

Preferred Start Date:

ASAP
End Date: 6 Months

Hours per week: 38

Location:
Leederville, WA

Type:
Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

Rate:
Up to $60 per hour plus Super

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement data models and data transformation processes in Power BI to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Power BI reports and data pipelines.
  • Perform data analysis to provide regular reports.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power BI solutions with existing systems and data sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data visualization requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
  • Ensure business performance reports are managed and maintained and prepared accordingly for reporting requirements.
  • Undertakes admin for projects and processes as required, which may include preparing reports, guidelines, procedures, statistics, policies, presentations and providing recommendations.
  • Perform general administration tasks including continual monitoring of day-to-day administrative functions to ensure the team is operating smoothly including the arrangement of conferences / meetings / functions and any associated activities on behalf of the wider team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and experience with data transformation using Power Query.
  • Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns and measures in Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience working with large datasets and optimizing performance in Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders across different departments.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

Full working rights within Australia
Current National Police Clearance or able to obtain if successful
Drug and Alcohol Screening before commencement
