About Us


Murdoch University's Access, Wellbeing and Equity team provides professional and innovative wellbeing and health services, supports students with health conditions and disabilities, and drives equity programs to optimise the student journey and promote the wellbeing of the wider Murdoch University community.

We aim to improve student experience through a variety of wellbeing equity focused activities including taking leadership in the implementation of the University Student Wellbeing Strategy.

The Role


As a Student Wellbeing and Equity Projects Officer you will provide casual support to the team through coordinating and supporting the provision of evidence-based wellbeing and equity related programs, training and events.

These initiatives are designed to meet the needs of students and assist them to make informed health choices, contribute to the broader wellbeing of the university community and promote social connection, diversity and inclusion across the student cohort.

You will liaise with key stakeholders across the University with a focus on consultation with students, including those from marginalised, underrepresented and /or diverse groups, as well as internal business areas responsible for broadening the reach and impact of our programs.

What you'll bring to this role

  • Degree level and/or relevant experience and/or education/training in a related discipline
  • Understanding of health promotion and equity factors impacting the wellbeing of diverse student communities
  • Experience developing and providing effective health and wellbeing promotion activities, including codesign with key stakeholders
  • Commitment to equity and inclusionbased practices to promote access of culturally diverse populations.
  • A current or ability to obtain Working with Children check in accordance with the University's Employee Background Checks Procedure.
