An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Land Justice Unit as Policy Officer, Traditional Owner Outcomes, to progress the Victorian Government's nation leading work with First Peoples through their strategic leadership and high-quality public administration.

The responsibilities of the Land Justice Unit include leading the Government's negotiation and implementation of agreements under the Traditional Owner Settlement Act 2010 (Vic) (TOS Act) and resolution of claims made under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth).

As the Policy Officer, Traditional Owner Outcomes, Land Justice Unit you will engage with Traditional Owner corporations and their representatives to ensure that relationships are strengthened and maintained.

Managing projects relating to Government objectives and priorities under the Traditional Owner Settlement Act will also be a requirement of this role.

Please note, a relevant tertiary qualification in law, public policy, humanities or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience is a desirable requirement for this role.
