The role:

Software development

  • Demonstrated understanding and /or skills in relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL) and web services (e.g. XML), procedural programming languages (e.g. C) and objectoriented programming languages (e.g. VB,.Net, C#, C++), testing tools/techniques and development tools (e.g. version control software) and software development methodologies and life cycles.
Data analysis and database management

  • Knowledge of relational database technology (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and operating systems
Systems testing

  • Knowledge of relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL) and web services (e.g. XML), testing tools/techniques and development tools (e.g. version control software), software development methodologies and life cycles (including quality assurance/testing) and software testing life cycles and testing tools.
Business analysis

  • Possess a broad range of modelling skills including business process modelling.
ICT project support

  • Practical ability with MS Office and MS Project
  • Knowledge of project management (e.g. methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Project Management Body of Knowledge).
  • Understanding of project reporting, scheduling and coordination and management of project risks, issues and dependencies.
ICT Generalist

  • Ability to produce detailed and accurate work including high level writing skills
  • Understanding of government writing styles, customer support
To be eligible for a graduate role, you should have completed or be close to completing a degree or post graduate qualification in:

  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Telecommunications
  • Project Management
  • Web/multi media Design
  • Or similar field of study
