Smart Service Queensland; Service Delivery & Operations; Queensland Government Customer & Digital Group; Brisbane City Smart Service Queensland (SSQ) is the primary contact point for customers to access Queensland Government services, delivering over 260 services on behalf of the Queensland Government through multiple channels including phone, counter and online.

Smart Service Queensland is involved in developing and will be supporting a government service delivery platform.

This will provide the ability for citizens to engage via a web portal or mobile app and access a variety of informational and transaction services across multiple channels.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop ICT technology and solutions architectures that satisfy the Queensland Government service delivery vision and agency specific business requirements in various technology domains and align with the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA).
  • Lead and oversee the development and provide governance of conceptual, logical, and physical solution specifications that translate business requirements into implementable solutions.
  • Support projects and other activities, by coordinating the provision of ICT architecture expertise and advice to ensure effective and complete design that meets ICT architecture standards.
  • Provide critical support and expert strategic advice to the Director of Technology and Infrastructure of Smart Service Queensland, program/project teams and stakeholders on broad/diverse range of issues relating to ICT solution architecture and best practice application of ICT to meet organisational goals.
  • Analyse contemporary ICT issues and continuously seek improvements on systems to support the development of current and future solution architectures and services including developing business cases and cost models for new service offerings.
  • Support a team of technical experts through mentoring, coaching and coordinating the provision of technical advice on ICT technology and solution architectures.
