Ericsson Australia is currently searching for a senior sales professional to join the team as a Key Account Manager (KAM).

Based in our Sydney or Melbourne offices and reporting to the CEO Australia & New Zealand, you will be directly responsible for driving and securing business opportunities within Ericsson's Mission Critical Networks (MCN) solution area.


What you will do:

  • Develop and lead the business development and sales strategy for Ericsson's Mission Critical Networks business for Australia and New Zealand, covering the entire Ericsson portfolio 4G / 5G RAN, Core, Transmission, OSS, BSS and Cloud.
  • Cultivate customer and industry relationships in support of new and ongoing business and manage executive relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with other the Ericsson Key Account Managers to develop business, including identifying upselling and crossselling opportunities within existing accounts to maximise revenue generation.
  • Lead partner engagement and establish relevant channel relationships to facilitate sales.
  • Collaborate with local and global colleagues in the MCN Business Area, Government and Policy Advocacy, and Marketing and Communications to build Ericsson's brand reputation and presence in the Australia and New Zealand Mission Critical Networks market.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to proactively identify and manage potential threats and opportunities.
  • Manage all financials for the local Mission Critical Networks business and deliver on targets net sales, contribution, cash flow and working capital.
  • Manage an indirect team, leading the sales process to qualify and run deals.

The Skills you bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and secure new business opportunities in government and government aligned sectors particularly in public safety, rail, defence, and utilities communications.
  • Solid understanding of the competitive landscape in the mobile communications market for 4G / 5G RAN, Core, Cloud Software and Services and Managed Services.
  • Experience developing industry partnerships to facilitate sell through models.
  • Proven ability to work independently and build virtual teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively leading, coaching and working within global teams
  • Evidence of building strong relationships with C-Level and key decision makers.
  • A history of meeting/exceeding targets
  • Ability to keep yourself informed of the evolving business challenges, market trends, future technologies and information that may affect your customer's business.
  • An open, creative and customer centric mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the execution of complex sales campaigns.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High levels of proficiency in sales governance ensuring successful business and account management
  • Accountable and committed with a passion to win.
