Key responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to advise, develop and implement performance management, reporting policy review and governance activities for the DYJ in line with departmental requirements.


As Manager, you will specifically:

  • Provide strategic advice and direction aligned with DYJ strategy and performance management framework.
  • Support the direction set by the Director for managing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of DYJ's Performance Management Framework including evaluation activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a fitforpurpose and robust risk management framework and associated strategies, policies, and guidelines which ensure a consistent approach to risk management across DYJ.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of departmental Business Continuity and Disaster and Emergency Management Framework and support the annual assurance exercise.
  • Manage key performance and reporting activities including the departmental annual report, strategic plan; monthly and quarterly reporting; Service Delivery Statements (SDS), Charter Letter, and Government Election commitments.
  • Prepare complex reports, submissions, briefs, and other correspondence in relation to the performance outputs and outcomes of DYJ and lead improvements to the departmental operational performance reporting practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and performance management within D Y J, including the development and review of governance policies and procedures.
  • Support other activities such as regulatory and legislative compliance reporting, program and project management reporting, and other ad hoc departmental reporting requirements.
  • Represent the Director, Governance and Strategy on relevant performance and reporting issues where required.
  • Lead and manage staff in the performance and reporting team.
