THE OPPORTUNITY


We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator with strong customer relationship and planning skills to join our expanding team due to continued growth, based in Welshpool.

This role is a full-time opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO


As Project Coordinator with full delivery responsibility for the projects under your control, you will work with our engineering, manufacturing and field service teams to successfully deliver projects up to $2M for our customers in telecommunications, utilities and mining.


You will be responsible for the co-ordination, control, and overseeing of all aspects of the project to ensure its successful delivery, including achieving defined safety, budgetary and other operational targets and objectives.

This role takes ownership of day-to-day issues and communication with all parties, including the customer, key stakeholders and subcontractors, in order to facilitate smooth project management.


You will be challenged with focusing on hard cost controls and be commercially astute in your dealings with variations, project controls and subcontractor management.


The position is based in Ampcontrol's service and manufacturing facility in Welshpool WA, with travel to customer sites part of the role.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Your passion for organised, efficient project delivery, coupled with a willingness to be accountable and take ownership will be complemented by the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management or relevant demonstrated experience;
  • An electrical background would be advantageous
  • A successful track record of project delivery experience, ideally in the utilities or telecommunications sector;
  • Exceptional business acumen and negotiation skills;
  • Proven success with subcontractor management and coordination.
