The Children's Court of Victoria (ChCV) has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and in some cases up to 19 years.
It has a Family Division and a Criminal Division and it sits at locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The Children's Court Clinic is established by section 546 of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to make clinical assessments of children and families, to submit reports to courts and other bodies and to provide clinical services to children and their families.
About the roleAdministration Support Officers perform a wide range of general administrative tasks.
These may include processing referrals received by the ChCV, file management, client-contact, telephone and counter enquiries and back of office administrative responsibilities.
The role provides administrative support to the office manager, Director and psychologists, psychiatrists and professionals.- Please note, there is potential for this role to be extended on a fulltime/parttime basis until 20 March 2024.
