To provide this support, we are looking for a Payroll and Compliance Officer to join our People & Culture Team on a permanent part-time basis.

About the role

  • Reporting to the Payroll & Compliance Manager, In this role you will:_
  • Prepare and process payroll and personal transactions as well as reports on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis
  • Process a variety of payrollrelated actions including tax withholding, Superannuation contributions, payroll deductions, and singly touch payroll requirements and remittances
  • Process employee taxation and calendar yearend information to balance, including issuing payment summaries through Single Touch Payroll
  • Maintain all employee information and payroll documentation and files
  • Respond to requests and inquiries in relation to payroll matters from staff members and external bodies
  • Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of payroll related yearend information to the ATO and other government agencies
About you

  • What you will bring to the role:_
  • Previous experience in a payroll position in a medium to large enterprise
  • Experience with various payroll packages and time and attendance systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with, and manage a range of different stakeholders
  • Strong administrative and organisation skills with a focus on prioritising and attention to detail
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compliance with relevant privacy legislation
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
