  • The Royal Melbourne Hospital Financial Shared Services (FSS) provide a range of Payroll services for (RMH) and Western Health (WH). FSS are also the outsource provider for The Royal Children's Hospital and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
  • Currently we process the payroll for over 25,000 employees working 24/7 rosters, spread over 26 complex Enterprise Agreements, across 2 alternating fortnightly pay cycles.

Your new role:

Responsible for ensuring payroll processes and systems configuration meet compliance, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Your expertise in payroll governance and compliance will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal & compliant payroll processes, system configuration, data integrity, identifying and resolving process and system issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with both the Payroll Operations, Payroll Systems Workplace Relations and Employee Services teams.

About You:

  • Excellent data analytical skills with use of MS Suite products including Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of payroll functions, procedures, and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll Processes and Systems
  • Ability to handle complex Payroll and award interpretation issues

Core Functions:

  • Provide support and recommendations to Payroll Leadership & Management that assist with process and system design
  • Monitor and evaluate existing payroll processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including Human Resources, Finance, and IT, to streamline payroll procedures and maintain data integrity
