About the Position

Brisbane Private Hospital currently has an exciting opening for a Registered/Clinical Nurse with strong interpersonal abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric Unit on a flexible full-time or part-time basis.

We operate a fast-paced, 32-bed ward that sees a high turnover rate, specializing in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics for both adult and pediatric patients, in addition to other surgical specializations. With a variety of surgical fields, this role is perfect for a surgical nurse looking to utilize and expand their skills.

About Our Facility

Brisbane Private is a 181-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently situated above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties cover neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal procedures, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation, general surgery, and delivery of Brisbane's premier private drug and alcohol programs through Damascus Health Services.

Your Role as a Clinical Nurse will involve:

  • Adhering to ACORN standards and Hospital policies
  • Providing evidence-based nursing care
  • Bringing clinical expertise to the plastics theatre teams
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensuring patient and staff safety
  • Completing eLearning and mandatory training consistently
  • Coordinating with surgeons on equipment needs

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of acute hospital experience as a Registered/Clinical Nurse
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Dedication to Quality Patient Care
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
