What you will be doing:


An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Dietitian to join the team at Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital on a Permanent Full Time Assignment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetics Services to inpatients, outpatients and staff of the NBMLHD.


The Dietitian level 1-2 will be responsible for:

  • High level of clinical expertise and knowledge in general clinical Dietetics
  • Evaluating and developing the Dietetic services to inpatients and outpatients and other clients/staff
  • Regular and ongoing quality improvement activities
  • Attending relevant clinical and department meetings (ward rounds, case conferences, lectures, professional development sessions, staff meetings)
  • Designing and implementing nutritional counselling/education programs for patients and staff as required
  • Participate in Dietetics student supervision and teaching as required

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia
  • Uptodate knowledge and skills in nutrition and dietetic practice, including the inpatient acute care setting
  • Current experience as a clinical dietitian, with post graduate experience in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience and confidence within multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently, while managing a high paced and high volume workload
  • Experience in nutrition related quality improvement projects focusing on improvements in clinical patient care and/or services
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
