THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented and experienced delivery expert to join the Office for Women (OFW) in a key leadership role.

The role will lead the delivery of the Victorian Government's free pads and tampons in public places initiative - an Australia-first initiative with direct influence on outcomes for women, girls and nonbinary people across Victoria.

The role requires an experienced self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and with significant experience in complex project delivery, implementation and stakeholder management.

You will work closely with a range of areas and consultants, including procurement, communications and evaluation teams, as well as the Office for Women policy team to deliver the program.

You will add to the wide range of expertise within the branch, which currently includes public policy, workplace gender equality, leadership, programs and economics.

The policy is due to commence on 1 July 2023 with up to 1500 dispensers of pads and tampons available to the public in up to 700 locations across Victoria including hospitals, courts, staffed train stations, TAFEs, libraries and cultural institutions.


ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Lead and manage the project delivery of the free pads and tampons in public places commitment, including overseeing implementation planning, monitoring performance against objectives, engaging with stakeholders, establishing governance arrangements, managing risks and issues, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time.
  • Manage a team of consultants and DFFH staff working on different elements of the commitment, including in implementation, communications, gender equality policy, evaluation and procurement.
  • Lead all internal and external stakeholder engagement related to the project, by proactively building and maintaining effective working relationships and facilitating the flow of information.
